Like any other day, my day started out with me waking up around 2. Then i would sit in the living room and watch the 3 o'clock show called College Talk. of course, it's in chinese. after the show's over, i decided to play our newly bought wii. it's our 2nd set of wii since my brother took the first set and didn't bring it back from college. the first game we bought is the wii sports resort. overall, as game goes i think i would give it a 3.5 stars out of 5. i think it also depends on personal opinion. i think it's a pretty fun game but after playing it for a while, it does get boring. also, some of the games in there, the directions are kinda hard to understand. it takes a couple plays to fully get the hang of it. besides those, it's an alright game. my favorites are the sword game, waterboard, and some what table tennis, even though i keep losing. lol i think im still more used to the tennis game in wii sports. the sword dueling game is quite fun playing against other people. quite exciting.

other than that, today, well technically yesterday, was my mom's birthday. so instead of the usual watching tv until dinner time, we went out to dinner. we decided to go to Todai in Portland. we haven't been there for a really long time, so since birthday person gets a free dinner, we went there.

annnd...

we were all greatly disappointed.

after sitting there for 10 min, none of us knew what to get. there wasn't anything to eat. and it's suppose to be a buffet.

we went at 7 pm. right during dinner time. we sat there for about 30 min and they still didn't bring up any snow crabs. so we asked the manager for more crabs. and he said they sold out. we would understand that they sold out if we went at like 9pm. but we went at 7, technically, you should still have more food. if not, you should at least tell the customers before they start eating.

since there were no snow crabs, we tried some dungeons crab and sadly, it wasn't fresh at all. when we cracked open the crabs, the meat was soft and gross and water poured out. we told the manager about it, and he said he assured us it's fresh, so he went and tried some. but he never came back to told us what he found out. we suspected that he also knew that it wasn't the best so decided to ignore us. and we knew they had more snow crabs, they're just saving it for the weekends. -_-

the clams had sand in them, the fried shrimps had wayyyy too much flour on. the other type of shrimp was wayy to spicy. really, nothing was good to eat.

thenn comes the sushi part. my brother wants to have some tuna. but the tuna is on the same plate as salmon. all the tuna on the plate were gone, only salmon were left. but the sushi maker refuse to make any more tuna unless the plate of salmon were cleared. so my brother was forced to take all the salmon in order for the sushi maker to make more tuna. fail.

dessert. usually, my favorite part in the buffet. however, unless a couple years ago, the cake was coarse. no good at all.

after finishing what we can find to eat, we got up to pay. my dad was thinking about giving them a little tip but decided not to because they won't even validate our parking for us. so my dad decided to use their tip to pay for our parking.  epic fail.

and that cost us about $25 dollars each. excluding my mom. so about $70 dollars. definitely not worth anyone's money.

i give it -3 out of 5 stars. so i hope whoever reads this will never go to the Todai in Portland. it is definitely not wort it. perhaps the other Todai will be better. but definitely not the one in Portland. and of course we won't be going back ever again. compared to when they first started, the have epically failed.

so basically ends our failed dinner.

in other news:

have to get a regular flu shot on tuesday

since H1N1 (swine flu) is wide spread now, please everyone, make sure to be careful and wash your hands often. from what i've heard, there will be flu shots for H1N1 coming in mid-october. make sure to go get a shot. but still be careful  during this period. especially for students T-T. avoid people who are coughing. lol and PLEASE don't go to class if you're sick. just stay home and don't spread it around.

then wednesday, have a haircut appointment. :D

guess that's it for now~
